We can blame Google, Microsoft, and Apple for this mess.
Schools buy microsoft products the way pro gamers buy $300 gaming chairs.
I agree, the obsurd idea that "screens in class would help students" was just devices being pushed on customers.
And it's not without consequence obviously.
