How could they be accused of anything if they were footballistically born in 2010? XD their accomplishments can't be denied though. They're a very good team and I never said otherwise.

The 1978 match fixing is a popular accusation. Alas, an accusation with no proof. You're free to believe it's true, if that makes you feel better. Even though la mano de dios in 1986 happened, it happened to a country that had very recently commited war crimes and invaded argentinian soil. Sorry for celebrating it. Maybe spain sympathizes with other colonizers, I don't. 1990 is also a popular story with no actual proof. Keep accusing of random stuff if you want, it's pretty amusing.

Argentina won a World Cup in 2024 with a loss and two draws, probably the worst results of a champion in the modern era.

Is it? I thought winning the cup was the best possible result.

If we're playing that game, when Spain won in 2010, they scored 8 goals. That's the fewest ever for a champion. On the other hand, Argentina scored 15 in 2022 (2nd highest in world cup history).

They won two copa America during a time when the whole continent hadn’t won’t a single World Cup in 20 years.

What a stupid thing to say xD that doesn't mean that it's easy to do. Also, 20 years is 5 world cups. Do you really think that's a meaningful metric? It's also wrong. When Argentina won the cup in 2024, there was a country in the continent that had won the world cup. I think you can guess who.

The only good player they have will retire this coming year

Saying that messi is the "only" good player is being either blind or just ignorant.

I’m sure as fuck they won’t win another World Cup until 2050.

Here's to hoping you're wrong 🤞

That’s pathetic. But alright, stay in your bubble.

Scoring with the hand? It’s fine because England whooped your asses in the Falklands war. Political interference to win a match in your own country? Fine too, Videla seeing the Peruvian team before the match, and granting Peru thousands of tons in international aid a week later, is not basis for any sort of misconduct. Drugging rivals? That’s OK even when Maradona joked about it on live TV in the early 2000s.

Winning is about scoring one more goal than your opponent. Nobody cares when a team scores two if the opponent scored three.

Maybe you’re playing a different game?

What a stupid thing to say xD that doesn't mean that it's easy to do.

It definitely does. Copa America is easier to win than the Euros, even more so if we take into consideration that South America hasn’t had four teams in the top 20 FIFA rankings in maybe thirty years now.

What I’m saying here is that, for all your claims that Spain is a newcomer with no actual tradition winning championships, then I’d argue that Argentina is a has-been that has recently been enjoying an exceptionally lenient treatment by FIFA, and an abnormal cycle of low competitiveness by other South American teams.

Do Uruguayans go around saying “cuantas copas tenés” too? No, maybe because they understand the concept of time.

Saying that messi is the "only" good player is being either blind or just ignorant.

Your next best player IMO (Fernández) is an idiot and I don’t see how his antics are helping his case at all. Alvarez is nowhere close. And then you have like three other players who will be under 30 for the next World Cup, and, to be honest, other than Nico Paz the rest are kind of shit, with Simeone probably being the worst case of nepotism ever seen in the history of World Cups.

Then, the whole Argentinian defence will retire in the next four years, but, honestly, that may even be a good thing.

Anyway, enjoy your country’s past accolades.

First, Spain (and I'm not reading this ridiculous wall of text).

Second, Argentina.

Third, England.

Fourth, France.

Fifth, my country's "past accolade" was 2 years ago. Which is the least amount of time possible after losing the world cup.

A bit disrespectful since I did read what you wrote, but alright, suit yourself.
