That’s actually the day of his zombie resurrection. The day of his torture and death is referred to, horrifically, as “Good Friday”.

I could not keep Good Friday and Black Friday straight until I was in my teens
But no, it makes perfect sense that the good sounding one is when a guy died, and the bad sounding one is a good time to do Christmas shopping... /s

Moreso general anthropology, if that keeps your hackles down. Lol
For the pedantry: when that term was coined, "good" also meant holy. The day was effectively named "Holy Friday" which makes much more sense.
Alas, the term stuck even as the word's meaning shifted.
