  • LinkedIn as a vetting tool: 1 in 5 admit to using LinkedIn to research a potential romantic partner.
  • Trust in profiles: Nearly half (48%) believe information on LinkedIn profiles is more trustworthy than on dating apps.
  • What draws attention: Besides profile photos (57%), workers say showcasing personality in bios or “About” sections (55%) and mutual connections (41%) are among the top LinkedIn features that would influence their romantic interest in someone.

Oh, no, I agree with you. I'm also gen x, first computer was a Timex Sinclair.

All the things, Facebook, LinkedIn, everything, they aren't the problem, it's the greed and current function of commerce that ruins it all.

LinkedIn was just very obviously taken over by douchbags almost as soon as it was launched.

Wow the Timex Sinclair. Chicklet keyboard and all. That thing was a lot harder to work with than the C64 I'm sure.

Looks like we have similar takes on what's going on because I totally agree with what you just said.
