How was the outlet being used?

I'm impressed, I half expected you to say it provided the lights.

Now, do you understand the difference between a state-run network of IoT devices along roads versus a socket in your own home? Is the government allowed to install a surveillance device in both equally?

[–] impairedimperator@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yes, I understand that. I also understand now that you completely missed my point even with the simpler explanation. I...don't think there will be a productive outcome here.

You were just telling me how that outlet in my home is effectively identical to the outlet on a government controlled street. If I were you, I'd want to quit talking, too.

[–] impairedimperator@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It literally is. Unless you're violating building code by not using NEMA outlets.

You think the government is putting mesh surveillance networks in the outlets in your house too, or are you able to identify a difference here?

It could. Same way they could put them into lampposts. Like the article says.

Maybe try reading the article next time

The same way? Fascinating! Tell me how the the State walks into your home exactly as easily as they do a city street.
