And a lot of people eat that shit up. It wouldn't be so effective if we were immune to it.
I know but it just seems so obvious and stupid. Idk what to do when people are this easily manipulated.
Just sit back and watch the world burn. It's all we can do sometimes. I don't have much fight left in me.
Cast your vote and cross your fingers hoping enough people see reason. Maybe we'll get a pleasant surprise? I'm cautiously hopeful about these midterms.
Other than that, all I can really do is argue with people on the fediverse. It's not much, and I don't expect to convince the people I argue with. But if I can show a few bystanders another perspective which makes them think for themselves and come to their own conclusions, then maybe just maybe it'll be enough to combat just a sliver of the concerted disinformation campaign that's already done so much damage
