You're barking up the wrong tree pal. You might as well be asking me to show some sympathy for Hitler or his family.
I hope he died scared and alone and that it was painful.
I have that user tagged as a troll, and they seem to always live up to it
He has a point, just not with the turtle man. He's a piece of shit who deserves pain.
Yup, Mitch was a political powerhouse who used that power to cause untold suffering through greed. I think everyone deserves to be treated as a human until they've shown they don't treat others that way. Then they should be treated like an invasive species.
I'll correct this: I state my opinions which are often different from what the polarized US population will accept.
Here I'm just stating it is immoral to cheer for someone to die.
If that looks like trolling to you, and I'm not christian, remember what Jesus preached.
i actually think morality is a lot more complex than you give it credit for.
i also think your boring views are much more popular than you want to admit.
I believe the idea I'm expressing is quite widespread.
what is that idea? what are you trying to say?
Compassion
Compassion goes both ways
...bad troll. Factually bad at trolling. Sorry 'bout you; maybe try getting good? Not everyone is from the US, and not everyone sucks so hard at flaming division. Be better
Indeed it does, but it is not required to feel compassion.
I don't know why people is arguing so much about this, I just said the man is likely being kept alive not for political reasons but just because he's a human; is that such a strange idea?
I'ma go ahead and skip to the next point that you're trying to drag out from the next passerby:
"I'm just saying", "I'm just being human", "I'm just asking questions"
I work critical healthcare for a living. I wish you were actually being compassionate about people, but all you're showing is how you don't know a thing about it. Disgraceful whataboutism is all I see...
I work in healthcare as well. Mostly people who will die in the following 6 months.
You see what you may want to see.
Bet
Valid wish, he is still human. I forgot where I read it, but there was a saying going like: "Nazis are human, one must never forget that. Such terrible humans that I am ready to bash their skulls in, but humans nonetheless."
Fair point. Someone else responded more logically further down with what equates to my own beliefs.
I'm just sick of the summer-child mentality that says we have to police our emotions to protect the feelings of the worst of us.
If you dont want to piss on a dead man's grave that's cool, but you dont need to be here while I unzip.
Also valid. I also don't like this "you gotta take the high road" approach, but I am absolutely allergic to dehumanization.
So, piss away, friend :)
I hope you're joking, frankly I don't even know who we're talking about, but recognizing someone is a human being is a basic human right.
If you want to go against all moral conventions by all means do that, but don't expect anyone to sustain you.
This is not showing sympathy for Hitler, this would be saying Hitler was already sick and dying and still feeling happy about him dying anyway. Have a little compassion for your fellow humans.
See, I knew you didnt know who he was. I dont have the time to educate you on the two decades of racist, manipulative, and evil shit that this man did in congress (or just how gleefully he did it all) but if you want just one person to blame for the state of the world you can look to Mitch McConnell and find at least 6 ways he made it all possible.
I will celebrate his death.
McConnell helped put the most racist ass black man in the Supreme Court seat of a civil rights legend and thats just the cherry of fuckery he's responsible for.
Fuck high ground morality.
I do not care, it can be the most despicable person and I'd hope something happens so that he stops doing despicable things, not his death. I am not happy of a person dies, as much as I could hate such a person. What you wrote is a really terrible message, I hope that is not your actual opinion. If that is the case, have a coffe and think about it; smoke a joint or take some psychedelics, those tend to help connect with humanity.
You don't understand that the level of evil a person lick McConnell is separates them from humanity and the rights included. As far as I'm concerned, his disregard of others human rights negates his own. You're literally cheering for Hitler to get better.
Nope, I'm just not cheering for Hitler to die.
so you are a nazi, trying to whataboutism right?
Not really, no. Voted communist party at the last elections.
Are you a terrible person searching for a justification?
So, being moral and everything, you'd rather save one person because its the 'right thing to do' even if saving that one person directly makes countless others suffer and potentially die?
Sad
Cheering for people to die seems more sad to me; you do you.
