Some drawers do have wheels
I definitely have drawers with little wheels in them.
Yeah but they're not called wheels. If you go to purchase a replacement, they're called what I said before.
I don't understand this logic, the wheels are a part of that. By this logic we shouldn't be counting the doors of a car either because we don't call a car a door.
But you just did, they're called car doors
And these are drawer slide wheels. I don't see your point.
Do they actually call them that where you live? In which case feel free to count them. But where I live they're just part of "drawer sliders" or "drawer runners".
If they don't, and you're calling them wheels just because they happen to be a circular rotary component of something else, we're back to dissembling everything to count the circles again. That's the point, to draw a line before it gets silly. Otherwise my vehicle has probably thousands of wheels inside it.
If you're just going by what literally has the word wheel in it, your car only has one wheel: the steering wheel. The four tires on it don't count, because they're clearly tires and not wheels.
Like, yes, if you arbitrarily limit a definition, you can skew results however you want. But a wheel is a circular device capable of rotating on its axis, facilitating movement or transportation or performing labour in machines. That definition would include gears, tires, the wheels guiding your timing belt, arguably the stereo and thermostat knobs. So, yes, your vehicle probably does have many more wheels in it than you'd care to count.
Ok but if we're going by dictionary definitions
Which basically includes half of the universe as well. So the answer to the question becomes: "there is a near infinite, uncountable, amount of wheels in the world, defined as a circle that can rotate; accompanied by a myriad of doors, defined as something that can open or close." Hooray. The question isn't fun anymore, and I don't really want to start counting the ~~sphincters~~ doors in my body.
I clearly misread the room because we all seem to be hell bent on forcing this overly loose interpretation so that everything counts as a wheel for the meme.
Curious where you pulled that definition from. It doesn't line up with Wiktionary or Merriam-Webster. Both of those sources seem to favor the idea of a rigid plane that slides or swings, which would describe significantly less than half of the universe.
I mean, the definition of a wheel is given as:
The little wheels on the runners definitely count since they fit the definition just fine.
But that's also kind of the point, the question is so hard to answer because people can keep thinking of more doors or wheels they hadn't considered yet. The question itself invites silliness, that's its appeal.
I don't adoor the sillyness. It's a bit much for my wheelhouse.
