Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Opportunity here for Greens, Labour, LibDems to do the right thing and agree a single candidate they will all campaign for. It won't happen of course because the inter-party fighting is a necessary part of the distraction pantomime.

If no one else stands, Five Mil Farridge wins by default and the investigation into his dodgy dealings will continue.

Speaking at a Nato summit in Ankara, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer accused Farage of a "desperate stunt" to avoid scrutiny of his finances.

He said: "This is a desperate stunt from Nigel Farage and it's obvious why he's doing it - he is up to his neck in sleaze.

Honestly, it might be the real 4D chess move. If he wins, he can't escape scrutiny. Now whether that's worth it, given he'll suffer no real consequences, that's the question.

I've heard rumours that Labour are considering not running an official party candidate, to make room for someone who may be willing to stand as an independent candidate. Someone who could run as on unaffiliated and somewhat anti-establishment, but also anti-Farage platform. No idea who that could actually be though.
