Well my Canadian family was in the war years before the Americans ended their isolationist policy and only my grandfather returned. We also declared war on Japan after Pearl Harbour before even the USA did.
That is incorrect
At that time Canada had complete control over their foreign policy and voted to declare war, initially against Germany they waited several days to to underline the choice was not mandatory
So... you've stayed away from government service? You decided someone else will fix what you think is wrong with our government?
