It's frustrating that in so many cases of police violence, the most that can be expected is an investigation (if one even occurs) that leads to no meaningful consequences.

Every death or injury at the hands of a police officer should trigger an automatic investigation that includes a permanent, public record of bodycam footage, witnesses, and evidence.
