I can afford a small single family home but then I can't put anything into it for five years. No furniture or repairs.
That’s about where I’m at. Buy a house? Ok. But it’ll be empty.
I was close to buying a small mid-century SFH this winter but it would have wiped out my safety savings just with all the moving and paperwork expenses.
