The idea that action fans won't go to a movie with a female lead is ridiculous.

Pam Greir, Michelle Yeoh, Angelina Jolie, Sigourney Weaver, Jane Fonda, Margot Robbie and a host of other women have headlined successful action movies.

Also, there have been plenty of action movies starring men that have cratered on opening day. "John Carter of Mars" springs to mind.

I haven't seen Supergirl yet. Maybe I'll like it, maybe not.

John Carter was such a failure, they wrote a book about it. But none of that applies here. It was ALSO a decent movie!

I saw it and gave up about 20 minutes in.

Aww, you didn't get to the big green dog? I loved the big green dog!

Fountain of youth springs to mind. On paper it should be the perfect blockbuster. Led by a power couple of stars. I bet no one in this thread has ever heard of it. It is so boring, if it had premiered ie cinemas it would be considered a mayor flop.

I saw it and gave up about halfway through.

Never saw Portman looking so lifeless, and the action sequences were just mechanical.
