This is where they lost me. I got sent a list of my donations, and I was short... Blew my mind that they actually counted what we were giving. While the preacher is driving a Cadillac and a big part of the congregation, us included, were driving cars held together with hopes and prayers. F U, I'm out.
USA churches are so weird. There's a dictatorship-style leadership, mandatory donations, megachurches the size of a pop concert venue, gullible folk and actors willingly simulating an epileptic seizure when the pastor touches them, and Florida's tiny Key West island has 20 places of worship in a 10km area. The only things I like over there are Gospel churches, and that's probably not unique. And circling back to donations, folk as individuals are meant to benefit from the movement, not sustain it financially. That job is for benefactors
