I'm sure this has been asked before, but what should American Football be renamed to, to avoid confusion?

The game has way more in common with Rugby.

We have Rugby League, Rugby Union. I'm sure could fit in a Rugby big girls blouse edition too.

Rugby football and gridiron foot ball are closely related, much more so than they are to association football. But they’re all football.

The full name would be “gridiron football” like how the full name of “soccer” is “association soccer.”
