The son of crown princess Mette Marit was found guilty of rape an was sentenced to 4 years in prison

Four years doesn’t sound like a lot. It’s more than Brock Turner got but seems like he’ll be back out relatively soon and potentially in a position to offend again.

Four years is a lot by Norwegian standards (even Anders Breivik didn't receive a life sentence), whose system by the way has one of the lowest reoffending rates in the world.

Interesting read. Four years is a bad DUI or burglary in the states. Rapists usually get 10-20 years due to the violent nature of the crime.

Don't you mean "poor rapists"?

Punishments on the books and punishments actually given are rarely similar in the US. Rapists absolutely do not usually get 10-20 here.

The difference is that USA uses incarcerated as slave labour, while Norway gives them help to make sure their behavior actually changes. If incarcerated changed their ways in USA, a lot of people would lose a lot of money.

"four years isn't a lot" says and paedophiles in USA are free laughing and drinking. You got some nerves you people.

And he only got that because his mom is just married into the line. He got 4 years because he's a step-son
