Don't you know you can only add weather zones with sharpie? To remove an area about to be hit by a storm, you need a reverse sharpie. Good luck finding one of those on short notice.

Reporting the weather truthfully makes you an enemy of the Trump administration, and weather forecasters are actively being purged depending on their willingness to lie for the sake of far-right narratives.
The Weather Channel chose to not just issue a weather report for Washington DC, but for a specific politically charged event whose attendance will undoubtedly be used as a measure of Trump's popular support. It chose to warn people, dissuading them from attending, which will reflect poorly on Trump.
