Kind of a weird race, first half was extremely low action with everyone just driving incredibly slowly and trying to look after their melting tyres, and then it started to build towards a really tense finish thanks to Ferrari's strategy masterclass (unironically). Only for it to be scuppered by the VSC. I am sad we didn't get the final few laps of showdown with Lewis on fresher tyres versus Mercs having to overtake on track.
Still, I'm very happy for Hamilton, and happy someone actually broke the post 300 starts winless curse. He is in incredible form right now and if Ferrari keep delivering on upgrades (especially on the engine) we might actually have a title fight this season. Didn't really think I'd be saying that.
Antonelli still looks like the man to beat, though. George will be relieved to eat into the points deficit but he still looked like he was lacking a little bit compared to Kimi, who showed better pace (especially towards the end) and also seemed to have looked after his tyres better. Very impressive for a 19 year old in his second season.
Also can't believe Lindblad actually ended up in the points despite whatever the fuck they were doing with his strategy this race (that long first stint on the mediums was not it).
Can't wait for engine upgrades to start coming in, this could be a very exciting second half of the season.
