I'm interested in finding out what people think when they see something GNU. What do you associate with it? Do you tend to be more or less interested in the project if.it is GNU or not? What is your perspective?

Pioneers. They built something great in a time where there was nothing. We were lucky that Linus wrote his kernel and other volunteers started packaging the distros, but they had the right vision at the right time.

I don’t think GNU is the core/biggest component of modern free software stacks anymore, but that doesn’t matter. They deserve the credit and they are one of the good guys. Always on my team.
