It's "assembled in America", most likely the case is attached by Mexicans in a factory that pays bribes instead of taxes.

It was never going to be made in America that was pretty much always going to be a lie. It's like the whole US made routers only thing, it's obviously never going to work because the US famously doesn't make anything anymore, and certainly doesn't make anything with chips in it.
