U.S. and Iranian negotiators have reached an agreement on a 60-day memorandum of understanding to extend the ceasefire and launch negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, but President Trump has yet to give his final approval, two U.S. officials and a regional source involved in the mediation efforts tell Axios. Iran has also not confirmed its acceptance.

Trump had said he doesn't care about the mid terms. They will either be heavily rigged it canceled likely. He's a petulant child and their just waiting to be humiliated honestly.

Trump desperately cares about the midterms. Hes still hung up on a nearly decade old loss and can’t handle even a modicum of criticism

He's still hung up on comments made about him personally from nearly 40 years ago. The thing is he's not on any ballot in the midterm. He will 100% rationalize the failure of any candidates he endorses as their own personal failings and not his. All the while all the Yes Men and the LLMs he surrounds himself with will reinforce his viewpoint to him. He doesn't have the object permanence or intelligence to care any further than that.

Case in point. When it comes to his stolen election witch hunt that he's still pursuing. It's always been about him. Just him, only him. Not about Republicans. Just him. It's literally what he did in 18 and 22. They are right now gearing up to rig and steal all future elections. Even best case turnout for Democrats and other parties this midterm they will not take sufficient amount of the Congress to actually remove Trump even if they manage to impeach him again. And if someone of moderate intelligence manages to hold on to Trump's ear they will convince him not to run in 2028, to put someone else up. At which point he won't care at all. His damage will be done. If however his sycophants tell him he should run in 2028. If he loses he absolutely will lose his shit. But only because it relates directly to him. He will still suffer no real consequences for it besides possible assassination.

Maybe he doesn't care because his doctors have repeatedly told him he'll be dead by then.

Of course he does. He doesn't want to be impeached.

You can't be serious

He's already been impeached at least twice. I don't think he's that worried about it. He's completely insulated from consequences for the rest of his life at this point. Apart from assassination.
