The steam deck is old tech. It was released over 4 years ago. Even the oled version is nearly two years old now. What would "new old tech" even be?
Factory new instead of used.
the same product that's been on the shelves for years. it shouldn't get more expensive, something is really wrong with the economy
Look at the price of bread.
Inflation can be a useful and good thing. The issue is that it can be used as an excuse for the loss of wealth. But your statement is false, still.
All through my life, electronic products only got cheaper the longer they sit on the shelf. All the way to almost zero until they become a collectible antique.
this lifetime trend is a really bad omen.
I know what inflation is, I've seen sonic in sketchy websites.
You make it seem like civilisation is about to collapse. Paranoia and doomerism because some gaming thing got more expensive is ridiculous. And misses what's actually wrong with the world.
were reaching extreme levels of enshitification and late stage capitalism. we in a massive crisis.
Old stuff getting more expensive is clearly an unprecedented bad sign.
Videogame console because more expensive isn't the crisis. I'm not sad that videogame consoles are more expensive. it's just an indication that our economy is about to collapse
Your grammar is bad and your just yelling enshittification.
yhea, it's all enshitification.
not only in the products, but every aspect of life. Pay is down, cost of living keeps going up, erosion of rights, the president straight up putting money into his pocket...
We are going through a handful of "one in a lifetime" crisis at the same time.
And typing on my phone, means grammar sometimes gets fucked.
Anything that is still produced, and thus needs components. The second-hand Deck prices probably won't be going up too much.
