Thanks for saving everyone a click. There's really nothing in Android phones from the last 5 years that would stop them from hijacking AirDrop, since the EU mandated that Apple had to use open protocols for it, which allowed the hijack in the first place. The fact that Samsung and other OEMs are greedily blocking the features behind purchasing additional hardware (i.e. another phone) echoes the greed of keeping AirDrop exclusive to iPhones in the first place. And it should highlight the need for a universal drop that works regardless of what phone platform you have.

Worth noting that since Apple took the "always on all the time" option, AirDropping hasn't been as fun as it once was. You could go to any populated area and be dropped all kinds of crazy stuff just for being there. Android never really had that, and now with everyone having to turn it on every 10 minutes, we don't have it either on the iPhone side.
