It’s still so funny to me that they’re always white. It’s even better when they give them fucking Hapsburg jawlines.
Every god is made in the originating culture's likeness, c'mon. They're all made up, and designed to soothe the local populace —which doesn't go so well when you're pitching Us v Them and your icons look nothing like said "Us" group. Pretty elementary.
This explanation is like saying the 3 pope debacle was just a normal aspect of contemporaneous religion. I mean, you’re right but are you really not laughing at the situation?
