Fuck FIFA and their boot licking, corrupt bullshit. Somehow I think they've managed to be more corrupt than any of the US based sporting organizations.

FIFA is up there as one of the most corrupt organizations out there. There's not a US sporting org that even comes close.

Its also very dangerous and they've avoided being labeled a "sport" to avoid certain regulations. According to this article it accounts for over 50% of catastrophic injuries in female athletes - https://www.sportsmed.org/membership/sports-medicine-update/winter-2025/flips-falls-and-fractures-the-reality-of-cheerleading-injuries

It may have gotten better in recent years, it's been a while since I read up on the subject.
