Hopefully the AI bubble will slowly lose air instead of popping all at once and we won't have a devastating crash.

Mass layoffs due to AI.
Economy crashes due to AI bubble burst.
Businesses collapse because AI can't replace the people that got replaced, especially in the long term
Economy sucks so there's no money to hire the people who lost their jobs
War and climate change get worse and affect the nouveaux poore more than ever before
A huge volcanic eruption or meteor hit causes local deaths somewhere and worldwide catastrophe
Half-Life 3 releases, but nobody has money or hardware to play it
Aliens invade
Economy goes wild with some stupid new tech.
