This could be a sign of acid reflux leading to an inflamed esophagus.
Could also be that OP has a stricture (anatomical narrowing) in their esophagus, causing the food to get stuck at that point. Strictures can be caused by GERD but also can be from other issues. I had to get one loosened up when pills and solid foods which hadn't been chewed to death started doing this. Pretty simple to diagnose and fix, but does require upper endoscopy.
