P retty good feeling about canceling Netflix.

I can't remember the last time I saw something worthwhile.

R eally, it's just cookie-cutter junk that they are clearly making to check a box.

A nd for what purpose?

T o just keep us watching show after show rather than do something productive.

E ven when I find a show with a premise I like, it's so padded with filler I don't even know why I watch it.

I just think they've forgotten the purpose they served, which is provide a service more convenient than downloading.

T hat's what I think anyway.

What about the space, though?

Deterring automated text analysis maybe?

Edit: Nope, I completely misinterpreted. It says PIRATE IT.

Perhaps they were referring to the space in "PIRATE IT", and how you'd start a sentence in that screed with a space.

So, how are the creators paid? I'm asking because I think that everyone should be paid for their efforts and at the moment the only available path, crap as it is, appears to be through streaming services, or buying DVD and Blu-ray, neither of which is cost effective or convenient.

The artists that created the content already got paid. The work is created, they got paid. The investors get paid later. If they've got a million dollars to make a series people who can barely afford the cost of living at minimum wage don't need to worry about them.

If the streaming services don't offer better services, then people will pirate. If you could buy a DRM free version of a movie online, the way you could buy used DVDs or year-old-games in a steam sale, then that would curb movie piracy so much. But you can't. It's pay to watch. It's all pay to watch.
