Read comics they're all like this. 90% of storylines are a mess and usually used to set up further storylines.

Haven't even seen the movie yet. Imo when movies stray far from comics they get mad shitty; madam web, green lantern, X-Men series.

And that is why I have moved away from the comics. I guess seeing through the facade of infinite sequels is why I like them less and less. I’m looking for more depth to the stories and leave them with a defined beginning and end.

If you are looking for just fun spectacle, sure. Enjoy it. But, good gods, it is getting formulaic.
