Wow! I’m surprised.

I wrote my MP and they said they appreciated my concern but wouldn’t do anything.

So now I need protest ideas.

Organize your local community to call/visit regularly until your MP relents out of pure frustration; use specifically verbal methods. It's easy to ignore regular letters or emails but much harder to ignore phone calls and visits.
