i wonder how many of them figured out they were into that 🐣

[–] SpacePanda@mander.xyz 46 points 1 day ago (5 children)

I wish it was more socially acceptable for men to wear a skirt. probably keep your niblets abit cooler.

[–] Medic8eme@piefed.ca 44 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Old man here. I wear a kilt every day, I don't even own pants anymore. I call it a skirt because it makes other people uncomfortable in the best sort of way. Fuck 'em if they don't like it.

[–] daggermoon@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

As a male skirt enjoyer, you're my hero.

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Tightly whities or freeballing?

[–] FauxPseudo@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

I'm a kilt person too. I have zero problems calling it a skirt for the same reason.

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Just call it a kilt, end of discussion.

[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Quite literally why kilts, the Arabic Thawb, etc are a thing, it is the superior form for mobility and temperature regulation.

Weird western purtian ideals made pants/trousers the social norm, which only make sense in cold winter climates.

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 hours ago

Now I know what the garment is that's called thawb.
Neat to know.

Besides

which only make sense in cold winter climates.

Guess where GB and most of west-nothern europe is located climate-wise.
In Germany, the time which could make a skirt useful, are about 1-2.5 months out of 12 months.
Every other day outside of late June to early September are cold, wet and uncomfortable.

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 day ago

The only thing that matters is that it's socially acceptable to yourself.

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

As a dude (albeit a queer one) with a lot going on down there.. I wear ankle length skirts in the summer time all the time. Super comfortable, doesn't stick to my legs like pants do, still get the breeze passing over me like shorts do, and my junk breathes like it is inhaling oxygen for fun.

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Sort of interested how that looks.
Are you comfortable with posting a pic just from below?

If not I have two questions (if you don't fel comfortable, it's totally fine to not respond):

  • Do you have hairy legs or a very noticeable hair color (e.g. dark hair)
  • Is your body build muscular or lean
  • Is your body build leaning femine, masculine or androgyn?
[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

I don't mind at all. You can't really see much which is my intention. I have a severe anxiety so my skin mostly covered up is extremely comforting to me.

Hehe thank you! ;)

[–] Virtvirt588@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The school producing another generation of femboys.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

People aren't born with clothing attached; most of human history exists outside of pants.

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago

As one should.

[–] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

these are children can we not

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Does a boy wearing a skirt make you uncomfortable?

[–] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf -4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

no, the "wonder how many of them were into that" comment bothers me. A lot.

alongside an "egg" which implies they were trans and masking

congrats on calling a bunch of kids trans for wearing skirts

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I see so you're just a bigot.

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Ehh...The implication can be interpreted a bit weird if you want to (depending on the world view and upbringing)
Just a "good for them" and "I applaude them protesting by overcoming gender norms" are IMO better than the ones we are discussing right now.

I am neutral about it but see both sides as valid points.

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 0 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

So you tolerate intolerance, and are therefore just as intolerant.

[–] timestatic@feddit.org 1 points 45 minutes ago

How is it intolerant to say that wearing a skirt doesn't really need to have anything to do with gender? In this case it was since it was more comfortable in the heatwave and as a form of protest.

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 hours ago

My tendency is leaning towards your argument.
But I see both sides as valid arguments.
Not everything is black and white.

[–] musicjunkie@lemmy.world -5 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Liberals love to talk about child sexuality just gotta let them be creeps by themselves. You won’t convince a creep/pedo to not have creepy thoughts and wishes for children

[–] snoons@lemmy.ca 4 points 19 hours ago (2 children)

Let me clarify:

I was wondering how many of those kids have started their journey in self actualization; figuring out things about themselves; their needs and desires. It makes me happy thinking of people learning to accept themselves for who they are; and that's it. Ironically, the only creeps are you two weirdos who immediately jump to to condescending, indirect accusations of paedophilia, obviously so discomforted with their own sexualities they feel the need to lash out at the mere mention of childhood sexual development.

FYI paedophilia only affects less than a percent of the global population; although this number seems a lot larger depending on the media you consume or the people you talk to. Rather, how distorted your world view has become due to a few extremely wealthy people controlling all of the media companies that create that media.

[–] musicjunkie@lemmy.world -1 points 7 hours ago

Male children wearing girls clothes is not β€œchildhood sexual development” and you know it same as the rest of the world knows it. To suggest so is to betray your own inner degeneracy and yes, to us normal people degenerates are gross and disgusting and abhorrent

[–] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 0 points 16 hours ago

they are 11 have you met an 11 year old before?
