For now, you can clear cookies and the pop up goes away. I suspect they will eventually retire the website, as is mostly the case for tiktok, which is pretty much impossible to use on the web. Corporations in general are trying to destroy the web in favor of apps, and consumers have been trained to expect everything to be an app, so there's a risk that someday browsers as we know them will be a niche web technology.
Either tiktok or instagram (forgot which one) can display video posts on the website frontend but not picture posts. Baffling.
