Ian Murdock, Debian's creator, was working for Pixar when he made it

Debian Project Leader Bruce Perens worked at Pixar in the mid-1990s, not Ian.

My fav is that Sid is named after the kid who blows up toys and puts them back together. The best name for an unstable release :-D
