I've got an older PC that I'm upgrading and going to turn into a NAS for my house, and the poor thing spent YEARS as the living room PC in a house full of stoners. Every surface is slightly amber and sticky. Any good cleaners I can use to remove it all without damaging the electronics?

For electronics I would only ever use isopropanol or distilled water. Just make sure you let it ventilate really well for up to a week or so when you finish. And don't try and clean inside the PSU, just replace it if it's really bad.

In this instance, I think I'd just skip trying distilled water. I don't think would help much to remove the resin.
