I've done a lot of listening practice this week. Active immersion for 30+ minutes and lots of passive immersion. My brain always feels so tired afterwards - which I guess is a good sign.

A little Japanese bento-ya moved in recently and this week I stopped by to give them a try. It was great! Authentic Japanese food (not Americanized in the slightest) and actual Japanese employees. Where I live almost all Japanese food is conveyor sushi with no actual Japanese employees.

I struck up a small conversation with the cashier. She was super sweet and said I sounded very natural, although I was so nervous I was really struggling. I really need more speaking practice.
