              I don't have any companion animals, in fact. If I ever get any, it will probably not be a cat or dog, for this exact reason.
Cats and dogs are invasive species in many places, and cats in particular can absolutely devastate local songbirds and native rodent populations. For this reason, letting a cat or dog hunt freely is usually uhhhh bad.
