I wish people would read the entire story instead of just reading a headline.
This entire post is out of context. They didn’t arrest her for making a joke. They arrested her for making a bomb threat. Moreover, the arrest had nothing to do with Netanyahu. She was just a dumb kid that joking or not made a threat.
I don’t think she will serve time but it’s definitely not something to take lightly imo.

Whelp that's quite a bit more significant. But to be fair, the headlines are all failing to mention there even is a second message and that's what she got arrested for. It's 'journalists' misframing it for clicks, not the general public at fault.
Also, very important follow-up, she apologized in the chat shortly after and said it was a joke when other students expressed concern, and:
Judge pulsewidth: Case dismissed.
I sowwy :(
Headlines?
Were commenting on a tweet.
To be more precise we're commenting on a tweet covering a report from 7 News Miami, which has the same lead headline.
If you look for news reports on it they all share a similar headline - highlighting the Netanyahu comment not the bomb threat.

I wish people read the whole article
That's mostly up to OP for not clarifying and/or missing it themselves (and the community admins for allowing it) as it's simply unrealistic to expect people to fully engage with every little piece of news they come across.
There's something to be said about engaging with it at all, but that's going to take longer to change and we have to do what we can in the meantime.
