I've been a scientific monitor for construction projects and they will tolerate you, but you will mostly be excluded. I of course as bearded man from the South had an easier time than some of the younger women that were my coworkers. Of course they generally don't like the monitors much, but they have clear preferences.
Honestly the drama on a construction site is peak. These grown men are so petty and cliquey
Female 15 year elevator mechanic here and I agree it’s like none of them matured past middle school. I have so many crazy, funny and sad stories. It’s like lord of the flies but dumber. I’m in school for an MA in industrial design so I can pivot out of the clan in the field
