The problems leading to Episode 1 were good, just it was handled poorly.
I'm not apologizing, pointing out that the overall problem would make a good story, Episode 1 is a shoddily done piece of shit with a racist character.
Lol. I feel like not depicting characters that speak broken English would be racist. They represent like 5% of the population.
You must have been seething after watching Inglorious Basterds.
I like how you spelled basterds correctly but got inglourious wrong.
Seething for what reason exactly?
"piece of shit with a racist character"
There's a difference between a character being a racist and characterization being racist.
What's the difference?
The depiction of a racist character (the character themself is a racist) isn't necessarily racist in and of itself, unless the film endorses it in some way. It can be used as commentary, to highlight the reality of a specific time or place, or to show what kind of person that character is. The racist depiction of a character (a character that is portrayed in a racist manner, such as one that displays racial stereotypes) is more often than not a reflection of the filmmakers personally held racist beliefs, though in some rare cases can also be used as a commentary.
Thank you, I type between calls so sometimes half think posts.
