Hi all! I am sooooo excited that I have my second session today and I need to tell someone!

Since the first session was just the getting to know each other, rough plans, aims and so on, I am excited to see what this session brings.

I am hopeful that we can work out a proper plan for the future and that I am not just in a phase. I am low key hoping that HRT is going to be discussed soon because I ordered yesterday in a slight dysphoria filed shopping spree a coat and if it fits I’d transition just to wear it!

The coat for the interested

Also also, where can I pick up basic makeup skills? Like I need a 101 and ELI5 because I only know (and love) eyeliner + eye shadow. I know nothing else.

I started therapy when my egg cracked, I was filled with fear and doubts and I knew I needed help getting through it. My therapist is an older trans lady and she is real cool. I was Neo in the matrix going to the Oracle asking her if I was the one. I think i was hoping to get a "you are trans enough" seal of approval. Just like in the matrix it became clear early on that she was not going to tell me I'm trans or not. Somehow we've barely talked about my gender identity, we're talking about family trauma instead. Sneaky therapist.

Anyway it's rough and emotional but I'm really getting a lot out of it. It took a few sessions of chit - chat but we're in the real shit now. Wishing you the best with yours.

Yea I am also hoping to get that deal of approval, but the more time I spent here, the more I open up and talk about it the more confidence I get that I am indeed trans.

I am happy that you have a therapist with whom you work well together!
