memes are a dialogue between generations, calling back to the understanding of the word being inherited ideas. you'll see a stall in the creation of new templates when there are less differences between perspectives for a meme to cross.
basically millennials aged out of having unique things to say and soon zoomers will too. in the meantime we can craft incestuous self referential humor or dadist deconstructions of existing concepts while we wait for gen alpha to finish cooking.
