Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Snapchat are launching a counteroffensive to impose chat control on European citizens.

"Today, with the expiration of the ePrivacy exemption that allowed the use of technology to detect child sexual abuse, Europe risks leaving children around the world less protected from the most abhorrent forms of abuse."

What is your deal, I didn't say any of that. Reddit does blow though, and mastadon is popularity contest, and lemmy is a mini reddit in the context of moderators exercizing unchecked authority with no checks, since you ask.

You aren't going to overthrow silicon valley with your attitude I will tell you that, not with your reading comprehension either I would suspect from your weak attacks on me for shit I didn't say.

@teyrnon I'm sorry if you misunderstood, but I have no opinion about you and I'm not passing judgment. The "usual tecnolibertarians" are those at Mirage, a stillborn project. The latest in a series of projects based on so-called "free speech," which in reality is just the revenge of the most frustrated and manipulated classes.

Oh sorry I misunderstood. I was afraid this mirage would end uip being something like that, which is why I'm on the fediverse in the first place and not these other tech sponsored projects. I almost asked the guy but figured it was.
