I don't get it. This guy is completely nuts. Why make shit up? Just give it an hour and you'll have something tremendously fucked up that he actually posts...
Yeah it makes no sense; he literally posted something as bad as this:
We don't need a fake variant of it.
That’s something funny to be honest. I understand that it’s supposed to be that way, but I picture him being jumping angry like some toddler and screaming this out red faced and I can’t get that out of my head. I think he’s really loosing his marbles because he can’t get out of that stupid war he started and he’s been realizing now that it was a mistake and he doesn’t have anyone to blame for it.
Yeah I’m tired of seeing this too, if it’s fake and I assume it is.
It just muddies the water. There’s enough without making shit up.
Conspiracy brain thinks of a few reasons:
To preemptively establish what "real crazy" looks like so that we tolerate what he's actually saying and doing more
To muddy the lines between fake and real so that everyone is too confused to fact check anything
Garden variety people being stupid and wanting to exaggerate something because exaggeration=funny, and they're not aware of the harm this does
To bait the left into accepting the same sort of "the fact that this is believable (to me) PROVES that this is valid possibility and worldview" mentality that the right adopted a decade ago, which ultimately makes people much easier to manipulate
To position the left as yet another entity that promotes its views via misleading "jokes" that on the one hand legitimately misinform people, but when called out can be defended as "just a joke that you were too stupid to recognize" - that is, borrowing another successful but evil strategy that the right has recently made use of
To be honest, i ment it as a rethorical question. But this is so cool.
I think this particular post is in category 3, as most of these are likely not made with malicious intent, but i might be naive..
Yeah the posting of it on Lemmy is def a 3. Whoever created the original post though.. Ehhh. We dunno where the og meme came from. I doubt it was made by a lemming
