Post guidelines
Title format
Post title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL format
Post URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefix
Opinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefix
Country prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

5. Ad hominem attacks
Any kind of personal attacks are expressly forbidden. If you can't argue your position without attacking a person's character, you already lost the argument.

Stay on topic. Keep it relevant.
7. Instance rules may apply

Getting involved in primaries is great. But letting the right win isnt burning the system down. Its giving power to an opposition party so they can make life worse for hundreds of millions of people and take away their rights. Every term they have they shore up more power through corruption and make it harder for an opposition party to win.
I'm general, I'd agree, but by now democrats and Republicans aren't opposition. Democrats are control opposition, they still go to war, commit was crimes, raise police budgets, do mass deportations, bask in corporate bribes... they are just better at smiling at your face while stabbing you in the back. just like Malcolm X warned us.

And the attacking of protesters, killing peaceful citizens. The support of Russia as they attack Ukraine. Not to mention the blatant lying all the fucking time. It's beyond moronic how you can see trump as the same as Biden. Your blindness because Biden allowed military support of Isreal before Isreal went full genocidal is ridiculous in the face of Trump actively joining in and sending the military to attack civilians in Iran. Look at the fucking world. It's going down the drain because of Trump and the gop - and if you didn't actively vote against that in any way you could then you are responsible for that . And there's no point in criticisng Republicans because they are openly racist fash. but the Democrats can still be saved, by infiltrating and primarying progressives, and if they resist (like they do with every progressive) they will likely be the first to fold if a third party gains even a few % of the votes in the polls.

I protest weekly, I organise and work in various mutual aid feeding and providing transportation to the unhoused left behind by both political parties. I canvas for progressives candidates. I attend city commission meetings to voice my grievances (A couple months ago we organized a few hundred people to voice their converns about an issue and we kept the mayor hostage until 2:30 AM, we won). I make and distribute progressive zines (from how to access affordable healthcare locally, to immigration amnesty), I'm heartbroken because I'm unemployed and all this work has been the most rewarding work I've ever done and will have to slow down when I get a real job.
