Just did a run through Freelancer.
Might hop on the Dosbox and fire up EGA Trek later.
Everytime I fire up Freelancer I love love love it. It's an incredibly good game. Pity that Crossfire is such a monstrous increase in difficulty from the get-go, I am still stuck on the first missions because I keep giving up.
Have you ever played its prequel, Starlancer?
Oh - that was the prequel? No, as a matter of fact, I have not. Does it run as well on wine as Freelancer?
Not sure. It's pretty obscure, I think I was able to get it to run on my old Windows Vista laptop. No such luck in the Win 7 era though.
I'll take that as a "yes, likely it'll work fine on wine" g Try wine yourself, it usually runs old games better than Microslop :)
