I think you've meant Genau – Methode is the lady mage. And yeah, I agree with what you said. I think Frieren is great at SoL adventure stuff and this episode was absolutely beautiful visually, but characters do feel like they have a certain plot armor. If you think about it, up until now not a single important character has died or been hurt badly. Even if they were, they're usually back up minutes later, seemingly unscathed. This really does affect the levels of tension that we should feel during fights. Let's hope this won't become a recurring theme, because other than that it's been a fantastic show so far.

Also, being wounded doesn't really change the way they fight or move. Half the time being wounded doesn't even change their facial expressions.
