Seriously, it works. I can shout for the little git and he'll choose whether he wants to show up. But if I open the pantry door and open that tub he'll be there in a few seconds. Every time, guaranteed.
It works for your cat. It wouldn't work for our cat that doesn't eat treats, for example.
try the inverse. put the cat in the tub and you'll always know where they are.
Seems like you would be training your cat to hide from you
