  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

That's all the rules!

In a stunning admission, Leavitt told Bartiromo that mandatory conscription – not seen since the Vietnam War – had not been ruled out by her boss.

Rounding up all the Americans that trash talk them will cause revolution. Its also logistical nightmare. Conscription is something they can do, and nobody will know their selection process. The Russians used this tactic, and im sure trump would use it, if he needed a meat grinder. The US army doesnt work like the Russian one, but Trump is a dictator and everything will be becoming more like russia going forward.

They'll probably send all the "bad people" that ice has already picked up off the streets.

They are building databases. They will not just allow you to defy them. You are speaking freely to me right now because their power hasn't grown enough. But it will get there, since nothing is preventing it. All that is left to prevent it is the people and they are doing nothing.

If they draft near-revolutionary people they get access to military equipment and incleases likelihood of actual revolution. If you concentrate them then they can coalesce as a group. If you spread them out then a lot of units will be dragged down.

Using ICE to round up dissenters avoids the risk of arming the would-be revolutionaries with credible military equipment.

You assume they will hand you working weapons, and not just hand you a stick.

You assume they will train you in how to use military tactics, and not just point the real gun at you then order you to run at the enemy in that general direction over there, so they can see where the bullets are coming from.

If you try to surrender to those at the other end, you'll get shot in the back.

If you somehow make it over alive, they'll know the general area and bomb it anyway.

We can't assume they allow us any advantages, and need to plan for the worst.

We can see Russia doing this already in Ukraine, using conscripts with little to no training.

Americans already have access to firearms.

They will not train them.

Yes, you will be shot if you surrender, or if you retreat. These conscripts will be meant to die.

Maybe you intended to respond to someone else. Because I think we're in agreement.
