I will never understand how people casually throw around communist talking points like these were not the talking points of some of the worst, most oppressive regimes ever. And the same people then are very vocally outraged when they hear fascist slogens (rightly so, but why is communist shit cool?).
You would do well to read about this ideology you speak of. Those "oppressive" regimes you talk about have brought such brutal repression as tripling life expectancy, raising literacy to 100%, universal healthcare and free education to the highest level, guaranteed jobs and the abolition of homelessness, guaranteed retirement pensions, working rights, and fight against colonialism (including saving Europe from Nazism).
Communist shit is cool because communist ideology is literally the source of all material progress in society, from the 40h working week to the welfare state. Fascism represents the polar opposite, which is the exact reasons why the first thing fascists do is to murder communists (ask Rosa Luxembourg about that).

Absolutely! I wouldn't say I'm super knowledgeable but I've had my reading on the theory and history of communism, much more than the average person at least, though not as much as comrades like @Cowbee@lemmy.ml
