I just dumb a group of friends I went to school with. That means I have known these people for about 50 to 55 years. In the group chat we had I posted that we just bombed a school full of little girls and that out cheeto in chief say that the mission is anointed by God. I expressed how much I am disgusted by it and they post meme mocking the death of little girls. I called them all cowards and if they are so inclined they need to join up and kill some brown people. They post more bible memes and I told them to fuck off and blocked all of them. I have tried the go along to get long thing with them for years. Here I am at 63 and almost my entire friend group is gone. I feel relief but part of me is also grieving the lose.
It's insane how acceptable being religious on the internet is now.
It’s insane, and ironic, that some people on the internet claim to value diversity, yet show open prejudice toward religious people. If your idea of diversity only includes people who think like you, then your commitment to diversity is pretty shallow.
Take your exact statement you just said, and replace the word "religious" with the word "gay." Do you see how you are coming across when you say that? Do you see how you are not supporting diversity with your comment?
